PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) Therapy
PRP is an aesthetic therapy that uses the healing potential of the patient’s own blood to stimulate skin cells and to initiate the tissue regeneration process and reconstruction of the skin.
PRP stimulates the patient’s own cells to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin, resulting in: improved elasticity, tone, thickness as well as colour of the skin. Collagen fibres are able to remodel themselves meaning wrinkles and folds become smoother and less visible and the natural healing process of your skin is faster.
Blood is taken from your own veins in special tubes. The blood is then placed into a centrifuge to in order to separate mesenchymal cells for the procedure, like platelets and stem cells, which are injected as your own plasma into the skin of your face, neck, chest etc.
The special cells contain fundamental growth factors released by activated platelets to initiate the tissue regeneration process by stimulation of new collagen production, induction of mesenchymal stem cell division and differentiation, and stimulation of angiogenesis
(the formation of new blood vessels).
The treatment is designed for patients with tired and dry skin, lack of skin tension, uneven pigmentation, signs of skin aging, an increased risk of allergic reactions and those who prefer to undergo a more natural treatment.

Numbing cream is applied one for one hour to the area that is to be treated and most patients find that the treatment is less uncomfortable than they had anticipated.

About one hour and a half.
What should I avoid before the treatment?
You should avoid Asprin, Vitamin E, Fish oil, Primrose oil, Nurofen, Ginkgo Biloba, Chinese and Herbal medicines for one week before the treatment. This is just to protect you against the remote risk of bruising. Your skin should be without infection or inflammation such as eczema or acne.

Usually you will see improvement following the first session in a few days or weeks. The subcutaneous tissue is firmer with better tone and texture and the lines will improve dramatically or disappear.
