Established in 1988 the Cosmetic Medical Centre is staffed by fully qualified medical practitioners with over 30 years experience in the surgical treatment of appearance and cosmetic problems, as well as dermatology.

Dr Andrew Roberts has been practising dermatology and performing cosmetic and laser surgery for over 30 years. He has been trained in London, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Richmond, Atlanta, Berlin, Rome, Lisbon, Paris, Seoul and Tokyo by world experts in cosmetic surgery. He is presenting his achievements on a regular basis as an invited speaker at a number of national and international medical conferences.

Dr Roberts has performed over 5000 cosmetic procedures. He has also pioneered the use of a number of cosmetic procedures not just in Sydney, but the whole of Australia. Some of them have become very well known to the general public. The Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 prevents us from mentioning their names as they are available by prescription only. Dr Roberts introduced the use of muscle relaxing toxins as routine therapy in his practice in 1995. He was the first doctor in the world to apply muscle relaxing products to treat excessive blushing.

In Australia he was the first to hold presentations teaching other doctors how to use muscle relaxing products for wrinkles, excessive sweating, headaches, and neck bands during the first Congress of Australian College of Cosmetic Surgery.

He is also the first Australian who presented speeches in 1998 at overseas international congresses on how to use the product for cosmetic purposes. He is presenting his achievements and new ideas for other doctors during Australian and overseas congresses on a regular basis, not only about muscle relaxing products, but also on the topics of external ultrasonic liposuction, facelifts, laser blepharoplasty, laser otoplasty, laser therapy for wrinkles, and removal of benign skin lesions.

He published articles in European medical journals about cosmetic methods in 1999.

He introduced Mesotherapy to Australia in 2003 and was the first doctor to describe the method in Cosmetic Surgery Magazine in 2004.

He is the only cosmetic surgeon in Australia to have earned a PhD title.
